I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue

Predicted to return in June 2009.

Extremely popular radio comedy which has run for 50 series. A self-styled antidote to panel games, in which players are given silly things to do

AKA:
Isihac
Genre:
Panel Show
Broadcast:
1972 - 2008  (BBC Radio 4)
Episodes:
367 (50 series)
Starring:
Humphrey Lyttelton, Barry Cryer, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden, William Rushton
Production:
British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC)

A spin-off from the BBC radio series I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again. The idea being that I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue was an unscripted version of the original.

ISIHAC is a parody of the traditional panel show, with games designed to humiliate and confuse. The only form of scoring coming for show's lovely (and fictitious) scorer Samantha.

Our Review: ISIHAC is one of Britain's most loved radio shows. It is amongst the handful of legendary British comedies that never fail to entertain. The show has won several awards and attracted many fans; it is easily one of the most popular programmes on BBC Radio 4 (even repeats bring large ratings).

The show is considered so good, that some of its more famous fans do not want to appear as a guest for fear of spoiling it; amongst them Armando Iannucci and Jack Dee (although Dee has since appeared).

Following the death of host Humphrey Lyttelton it remained to be seen whether ISIHAC would return. However, producer Jon Naismith has now confirmed the show will return on 15th June 2009, with a series of guest presenters. Suggestions as to who should take over as host have included Stephen Fry, Angus Deayton, Sue Perkins, Pam Ayres, Sandi Toksvig and Jarvis Cocker.
