The Oracle confesses to his mum that he feels the time has come to stop going on holiday with her, and Martin tells Kate that he was actually pleased she slept with Mateo. Meanwhile, the Garveys celebrate winning the quiz at the beach.

In-Depth Episode Synopsis

Warning: the below synopsis may contain spoilers

The Garveys go to the beach to spend their quiz prize money. Madge blithely invites Donald and Jacqueline along. Mick, desperate to save money, is cross and even more so when he is forced to buy ice creams for everyone and pay for sunbeds on the beach. He is even more annoyed when he discovers that the woman who took the money was actually a con artist. They return to the resort.

Martin tells Kate that actually he was pleased she slept with Mateo, revealing that it was just the ruddy kick up the arse their relationship needed. He is interrupted by the apparent appearance of a poo in the swimming pool. He leaps out and leaves Kate cornered by it. Janice tells her not to worry, as it's a fake poo that Mick picked up from a joke shop on the way to the beach and tells her to just throw it out of the pool. Mick says he didn't buy a joke poo - but too late, Kate has picked it up... the pool is closed off.

As the week comes to a close the Oracle tells his Mum that it is time he finally stopped going on holiday with her. She says OK, if that's what you want. But then he decides that if she's going to 'be like that' he will come back with her next year!

At Neptune's Janice sees the woman who conned them on the beach and flattens her. Mick sings a song to Janice, but meanwhile the Garveys are approached by a woman who was taking pictures of Mick earlier. She reveals she is from the Department of Social Services and that she is going to use the photos as evidence to convict Mick for false incapacity benefit claims. The show ends with everyone in a rousing singalong of Viva Espana, during which Mick returns to his table to be met by his shocked family.
