It's 1940 and Britain stands alone - Colonel Basil Trumper a previously unknown secret agent and part of the 'faceless ones' of Counter Intelligence, is here to repel Hitler's invasion plans. First he must rescue Polish professor Pan Malcov and start his Private Army that will save Britain from the Nazi hoards. Our Review: A short-lived comedy written and produced by members of the team responsible for Bootsie and Snudge. It starred a British film hero of the time, Dennis Price, making his sitcom debut in the starring role, but he would appear with more success as butler Jeeves in the excellent World of Wooster a short time later. Warren Mitchell played the Polish professor Pan Malcov at a time when he appeared on screen mainly playing foreigners. |
