'Commercial Breakdown' Related Trivia

In the early days of Commercial Breakdown the programme couldn't show any British adverts as they were banned by the BBC's Royal Charter (the BBC is not allowed to show advertising). However the rules have since changed and, provided the adverts are not currently being broadcast, they are now allowed.

Is the BBC possibly now for some reason ashamed of the series of Commercial Breakdown that were hosted by Jim Davidson?

Davidson is the only Commercial Breakdown presenter not mentioned in the series 11 press release.

Commercial Breakdown was the first show Jasper Carrott made for production company Celador. In 2006, he and his wife Hazel sold their shares in the company for over £10m as part of a management buyout deal.
