& Yorkshire Television (YTV) Albert Courtnay, a well-meaning 24 year old has moved from his Northern home and family to the bright lights of London. He finds his new life slightly bewildering but, when he writes his regular letters to his mother, he embellishes his daily routine and finds it difficult to divorce fact from fiction. Our Review: "Dear mother, this is what I did in between making The Likely Lads - and it was very popular". Well it was at the beginning, attracting a top ten audience share with a healthy 7 million viewers. Not only did Rodney Bewes star in this comedy, he also co-wrote the scripts, co-produced the show and sang the theme song. |
