Freezing - Series 1 (DVD)

Elizabeth, played by Elizabeth McGovern (Buffalo Soldiers, Once Upon a Time in America) is an American Oscar-nominated actress who was discovered by Robert Redford and starred alongside A-listers like Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Robert De Niro. That was then.
Her husband of ten years, Matt (Hugh Bonneville - Miss Austen Regrets, Notting Hill), isn't having much luck either; he has just been replaced by his assistant at the publishing firm he has worked at for 15 years. As a result - and for the first time in their marriage - Matt and Elizabeth now have to spend their days together at home. Domestic tensions quickly follow as the pair undertake varied (and frequently desperate) attempts to re-launch themselves - all the while fighting off the growing realisation that they are no longer perceived as young and desirable.

Please note that the DVD release has had to be postponed (from an original scheduling of 31st March 2008).

Our Review: In our opinion, Freezing is one of the funniest new British comedy series which has been on TV this year so far (14th March 2008). A very, very funny sitcom which we highly recommend - particularly Tom Hollander's spectacular performance as agent Leon.
