Series 1 (2005)

Ideal. Image shows from L to R: Moz (Johnny Vegas), Cartoon Head (James Foster). Image credit: Baby Cow Productions. In series one we were introduced to Moz and his lazy, messy, rat infested life.

Moz's flat is always a hive of activity, with a posse of twenty bizarre customers stopping by to score. There's Jenny the constantly mashed child minder from hell, the weird and sinister Cartoon Head - a low rent hit man who's never seen without his mouse mask – and Brian, a sexually voracious aging gay. Then there's Moz's main supplier, a Police Constable who passes on dope confiscated by the force from other dealers.

Series 2 (2006)

Ideal. Image shows from L to R: Brian (Graham Duff), Moz (Johnny Vegas). Image credit: Baby Cow Productions. Series two of Ideal starts with Moz having a number of pressing issues to resolve. His long term girlfriend, Nicki, is about to give birth, but the father could be any one of three men. Is Moz really about to become a dad for the first time and, if so, will imminent parenthood force him to rethink his choice of career?

As it happens his days as a dealer may already be numbered, as local copper and Moz's chief dope supplier, PC, is in line for a promotion which will cut off Moz's supply. To make matters worse, gangster and regular client, Psycho Paul, is keen to involve Moz in a get-rich-quick kidnapping scheme – and he won't take no for an answer!

Meanwhile, events take a sinister turn when the body of Craig, murdered by masked hit man Cartoon Head in the last series, turns up in the local chippy's deep fat fryer. And there's a new neighbour called Judith who has designs on Moz's body – dead or alive!

Series 3 (2007)

Ideal. Image shows from L to R: Moz (Johnny Vegas), Judith (Joanna Neary). Image credit: Baby Cow Productions. Having fallen from his roof and broken his leg, Moz is stuck in a plaster cast at the start of series two. His long-suffering girlfriend Nicki has moved back in – bringing baby Sanjeev with her – and is determined to give their relationship one last shot. Consequently, Moz must juggle his dealing 'career' with the challenge of being a new dad and his natural inclination to do as little as possible.

Moz's problems really begin when landlord Mr. Rupani arranges for builders to redecorate the flat. Alan, the foreman, is a permanently cheerful yet very hardline born-again Christian who questions why Moz receives so many visitors. Moz lies, claiming he is also a religious man who people look to for advice, but as the decorating work drags on, he finds it increasingly difficult to sustain the illusion!

Ideal. Image credit: Baby Cow Productions. With their relationship deteriorating fast, both Moz and long suffering girlfriend Nicki embark on clandestine affairs. Nicki hooks up with Salford's dopiest Police Constable and Moz discovers love in the arms of a rather surprising companion.

Matters are further complicated when Moz's long lost dad Keith comes knocking at the door. Absent for 12 years, Keith bowls right back into Moz's life, hoping to offload some dodgy wide screen TVs.

Meanwhile, in the world of disorganised crime, former best mates Cartoon Head and Psycho Paul go head to head in a gangland war involving the notorious Low Triad. Can Moz avoid getting dragged into this potentially fatal gang war? Can he and Nicki keep their simultaneous affairs secret? And will he ever discover the true identity of his new neighbour - a mysterious and frightening man known only as Fist...?

In the aftermath of Jenny's shooting, Moz decides to give up dealing and go straight. However, this isn't as simple as he thinks. Meanwhile Troy arrives back on the scene with a bang, Colin and Carmel are planning to get married, and Silicone Valets are being followed by a camera crew.
