Series 2 (2004)

1. Episode One

A trip to Rainbow Rhythms dance group has some surprising results for Mark, Jez and Sophie.

Jez meets Nancy, an American Christian whom he begins to fall in love with. The two develop a taboo-breaking sexual relationship, although Jez does wonder whether being made to black-up is too offensive.

2. Episode Two

Mark makes a new friend at work, whilst at Toni and Tony's party celebrating the reaffirmation of their vows, Jez meets an old school friend.

It turns out everyone picked on Jez's friend Gog at school, but he is now a big success. He is making a film, potentially for Honda, and Jez's music career actually moves in the right direction when he gets to do the sound track.

It turns out Mark's friend has some 'interesting views', that causes Mark a dilemma. Meanwhile the success goes to Jeremy's head and he wastes all his advance. Oh yeah, and Super-Hans gets addicted to crack.

3. Episode Three

First Broadcast: Fri 26th November 2004

Jeremy is determined to move his relationship with Nancy to that of proper boyfriend and girlfriend. So, he follows Nancy's belief in God and her feeding the homeless.

Meanwhile, Mark is getting jealous of the burgeoning relationship between Geoff and Sophie, and so intervenes when the pair are to go to Aberdeen for business, resulting in him going with Sophie instead.

Nancy decides the final taboo is to not have sex, which frustrates Jez. While Mark becomes known as an alcoholic after an unfortunate appearance on the news where he is filmed looking a mess, drinking in the park.

4. Episode Four

First Broadcast: Fri 3rd December 2004

Mark meets a student called April in a shoe shop and decides to return to see her again, but discovers that she has gone to university in Dartmouth. Jez has a gig to play in the same city, so Mark goes along on the pretext of wanting to see his band play.

5. Episode Five

First Broadcast: Fri 10th December 2004

Sophie tells Mark that her and Geoff are moving in together and that he thinks her and Mark should see less of each other. So Mark resorts to unorthodox methods to spend some time with Sophie, including a bungee-jump for charity and even becoming mates with Geoff.

Jez is bored so tags along for the ride, he ends up becoming matey with Geoff instead of Mark. Using information provided by Jez, Mark resorts to dirty tactics in an attempt to break the couple apart.

6. Episode Six

First Broadcast: Fri 17th December 2004

Nancy asks Jez to marry her... for administrative reasons. Mark and Super-Hans combine forces to try and break them up, but on seeing Jez cry they abort.

Toni becomes jealous at the wedding and later starts an affair with Jez. Meanwhile Sophie and Geoff break up, but Mark only finds out after setting up a date with another woman. He then manages to get Sophie a date too with a Buddhist. Mark and Sophie share a moment and nearly kiss, Geoff is publicly humiliated and Jez tells Nancy about his affair.
