Our Review: The star was on the crest of a wave after defecting from ITV and the expectations for this series were high. Unfortunately, the viewers had no sympathy with the character of Bob Mason and voted with their digits (no remote controls in those halcyon days!). It was to prove a crossroads in the career of Bob Monkhouse and he would never return to the world of sitcom again.
